Sometimes things need to get worse before they get better...
When animal communicator Paige's life turns upside down, she impulse buys a rescue horse she can't afford. When the skittish mare shows Paige images of a previous stable, Paige realizes she may be a witness to a crime through her horse's eyes: a small girl is locked in a stall in an unknown barn, desperate and afraid.
Paige has to help, but she's not sure where to start. She also has some immediate issues to deal with, too. Like finding a home for herself when her ex kicks her out of their apartment, and a home for her horse when her mother kicks the mare out of her horse rescue. A new job on her childhood enemy's family's ranch brings many unexpected changes in her life- including falling for BOTH of her enemy's brothers, even though one is her boss and the other is a grumpy ex-con, not to mention her first suspect.
When she discovers her suspicions about the ex-con brother are wrong, she teams up with him to help find the child. She is shocked by the secrets she discovers along the way...
